We founded The Exchange House in 2005 with the goal of providing tourists and residents of the Niagara region with access to the best exchange rates possible. While staying strongly committed to that goal, we have traded our humble beginnings to become one of the largest independently owned financial services in the Niagara Region. Over the years, we have had the privilege of providing service to over 500,000 customers who collectively have exchanged over one billion dollars. Fortunately for our customers, as trading volumes continue to grow, so do the savings we provide for them.

ABOUT THE OWNER

Our owner, Mike Karagias, has more than 30 years of experience in finance and banking. After graduating University of Waterloo in 1990, Mike worked for the Royal Bank of Canada as a branch manager before partnering up and creating our firm in 2005. After working in the traditional banking system for many years Mike saw the void in the market for a top tier currency exchange service in the Niagara region. With his now 17 years as president of TXH, Mike has developed a comprehensive understanding of the currency markets. Mike has built his reputation as a transparent businessman who is motivated to share his knowledge with clients and most importantly SAVE THEM MONEY.
